Total alcohol and successive extracts (diethyl ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol) of Covolvulus hystrix Vahl were screened for their antioxidant activity using free radical 2-2- diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and Trolox as reference substance.
